Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026 · Applies to Air Drive for iOS/iPadOS

Short version: Air Drive collects nothing. Your files never leave your local network, there is no account, and the app has no servers of its own.

What we do not collect

We operate no servers. The app sends nothing to us — no analytics, no crash reports, no advertising identifiers created by us, no location, no usage data. The core app contains no third-party SDKs.

What stays on your device

Network traffic

Air Drive is a local-network product. When you start the server, other devices on your Wi-Fi can connect to it — protected by the approval, PIN or password mode you configure. Transfers go directly between your device and the computer you choose. Nothing is routable beyond your local network, and no internet connection is used for file transfers. Domain name lookups (for example resolving a .local device name) and the app's connection to Apple's App Store servers for purchases are the only traffic outside your network, and neither involves your files.

Advertising (free version)

The free version of Air Drive shows ads served by Google through the AdMob SDK. When required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), a consent form (Google UMP) is shown before ads are requested, and a "Privacy options" entry appears in the app's Settings so you can change your choice at any time. Depending on your consent choices and local law, Google may process data such as device identifiers and approximate location for ad delivery and measurement; Google's own privacy policy governs that processing.

Air Drive Pro removes advertising entirely. On a Pro device the ad SDK is never initialised — no ad requests, no tracking, no consent form, no launch delay.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details; the app only learns whether an entitlement is active through Apple's StoreKit.

Children

The app contains no content or features directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Managed devices

If your organisation manages Air Drive through Mobile Device Management, your administrator can set app configuration (such as the access mode or feature availability). The app reports basic configuration status (version, server state, configuration errors) back to your organisation's MDM system. That data goes to your employer or school, not to us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever has to change, the app's What's New text and this page will say so.
